After the positive collaboration that came to create for the exhibition “TUTTI IN MOTO! – The myth of speed in a hundred years of art “the Pontedera Foundation for Culture proposes a new educational path for the exhibition” La Trottola e il Robot. Between Balla, Castrati and Capogrossi “, a spectacular exhibition dedicated to games and childhood in general.

It is particularly evident how much this exhibition is suitable for an audience of children and school children: certainly the theme, an essential element of their daily life, allows to familiarize in a more direct way the youngest with the languages and practices of art. but there are many stimuli of quality that offers: to know the history through the evolution of the game and the way of playing as well as the environment and society in which one has played and played. The younger ones will also be able to realize and discover how such an important element of their daily life has been a catalyst for the attention of many great artists.

In the spaces of the PALP children and young people will be able to experiment how the work of art can become valuable and irreplaceable teaching material to sensitize, build and give life to the imaginary.

If spontaneity and childlike curiosity are cultivated in the game, creativity, creativity and freedom of thought are further developed in the self-construction workshop with recycled material, fostering sensitivity and respect for the environment surrounding the child. and the boy. For this year the Pontedera Foundation for Culture proposes once again the organization of guided visits to the exhibition, but has activated a valuable collaboration with the Arnera Cooperative for Environmental Education Teaching Laboratories.
We are therefore able to offer a package consisting of a guided tour + a specific laboratory that varies according to the chosen laboratory.

1) GAME CARDS ON WASTE (for primary schools and secondary schools of first degree) Through the construction of a board game and the use of the same, the children will learn some ecological practices to be performed daily and will learn the meaning of disposal, recycling, recovery and reuse of waste materials.

2) CONSTRUCTION OF TABLE GAMES (for primary schools and secondary schools of first degree)
Collection and selection of waste material that we find at school and in our homes to build many board games with which you can have fun during recreation. We will learn to select and assemble different materials, to study the operation of a board game and to build many different ones.

3) ARTE POVERA (for primary schools and secondary schools of first degree) We will observe works of art collected in the main museums of the world and study the waste materials that great artists have used for their creations. This will help us to look for our material, the waste objects that will serve our sculptural creation. The school will then be transformed into a large museum of contemporary art in which to expose our creations.

Pontedera Foundation for Culture and Geofor a year ago have bet on art and environmental science against overexposure of empty stimuli to which our young people are subjected daily.
