Thanks to the patronage of Regione Toscana, Comune of Pontedera and Fondazione per la Cultura Pontedera, the exhibition Portraits, a project made by SCART – beautiful and useful side of waste, promoted by Gruppo Hera ( national multiutility that offers energy and environment services to citizens and businesses), will be open in the PALP rooms from 8th December 2023 to 25th February 2024.

These recycle art works are 100% made from industrial waste for over 20 years, in partnership with collaboration of some Accademie of Fine Arts, such as that of Florence, Bologna, Ravenna and Rimini, welcomed nearly 130 artists, designers, and architects .

There are many and vaious recycled materials used to make SCART works, such as zippers, footwear accessories, spectacle rods, buttons, chains, scraps of uppers, buckles, cellophane fragments, foam rubber residues, trimmings, velvet, pharmaceutical bottles, leather soles, car rims, springs, pieces of wood, cycle handlebar, etc.

In the exhibition Ritratti there are paintings and sculptures that show cinema, sport and music icons, like Massimo Troisi, Sophia Loren, Valentino Rossi, Federica Pellegrini, Andrea Bocelli, Jimi Hendrix, etc.

Free entrance, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last entrance at 6,30 p.m.).
